US Open 2018 cut line: What is the projected cut and how many players will make it?
THE US OPEN cut will see its field slim down significantly after two rounds with more than half the 156 players who start the tournament on Thursday failing to win a place in the weekend’s action.

The US Open cut will see the top 60 players and ties go through to the weekend
Each major has its own unique cut rule and in 2012 the USGA, who stage the US Open, updated their own version to its current form.
The top 60 players and any golfer tied for 60th or better will qualify for rounds on Saturday and Sunday. Before 2012, there was also a rule stating that all players within 10 shots of the lead would also qualify, meaning a tightly bunched field could have seen as many 70 or 80 players make it through.
However, the USGA removed the rule in 2012 to make it a more simple equation for the cut.
The cut will fluctuate over the first two rounds but Betfair seem to think a tie for 60th will end up being around seven shots over par. The cut to be +7 or better started at 8/11 while +8 or worse was an even money bet at the beginning of the tournament.
