Live Music Saturdays in Summer – Berkshire Busk! Roadside
From Memorial Day through Labor Day, BMD will host Berkshire Busk! Roadside a satellite stage next to our outdoor pavilion in Sheffield.
Saturday Afternoon, June 4th: 2:30 – 4:30 PM
Dylan Patrick Ward
Don’t let his roughish good-looks fool you. Dylan Patrick Ward is a sensitive boy. Hailing from Vermont’s Dirty South, he started self-recording and releasing lofi Indie-Folk albums from his childhood bedroom at his parent’s house in 2020. Now he plays anywhere he can and continues to write darkly comical, melodic songs about down-on-their-luck loveable losers that owe a debt to the Mountain Goats, John Prine, George Saunders and The Simpsons. He’s opened for acclaimed folk singer-songwriter Peter Mulvey who said “…he’s funny. He’s also as serious as an axe-handle.”
Musicians will take the stage for Live Music Saturdays from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., rain or shine. Entertainment accompanied by craft cocktails served from our outdoor bar featuring BMD’s Cultural Cocktails program.
Berkshire Mountain Distillers, a community-focused business in support of regional ingredients and the Berkshires’ first legal distillery since prohibition, will commemorate its 15-year anniversary this year with a series of programs and events.
BMD began on an old apple farm in Sheffield, a right-to-farm village in the southwest corner of Massachusetts known for endless rows of corn and Revolutionary-era uprisings. In 2007, Chris Weld founded BMD on this simple farmstead on East Mountain, at the former site of granite-based Berkshire Sodium Springs, circa 1900. Water from these pristine springs is still used in formulating our products joining other locally sourced high-quality ingredients to produce one-of-a-kind Berkshire spirits.
In 2014, BMD moved to a new production facility in Sheffield where our hometown team continues the handcrafted spirit-making tradition with great passion for the art and science of beverage-making. We support local businesses and community-based non-profit organizations, and are excited to welcome visitors to our production facility, tasting room, store and greenhouse, plus our new covered outdoor pavilion surrounded by the beautiful Berkshire landscape.
