Mentoring, Vaccines, and Vaping

This week in La Voz en Breve, journalist Mariel Fiori  has a show on education and health. She spoke to Amy Summers, Director of the United Way Ulster County mentoring program, Rising Hope, which is looking for women who want to mentor other women.

Micrologist and biologist Juliana González Tobón, Phytopathology PhD student at Cornell University who works with messenger RNA talks about the popular video she made on how intermediate messenger RNA works, part of the frequently asked questions about new vaccines against COVID -19. González Tobón is also a member of the group, Women in Agricultural Sciences.

Also, Dr. Juanita Mora, Allergologist and Immunologist at Chicago Allergy Center, talks about the new report on COVID-19 and its impact on smokers, including vaping.

Esta semana en La Voz en breve, la periodista Mariel Fiori tiene un programa de educación y salud. Conversó con Amy Summers, Directora del programa de mentoras de United Way Ulster County, Rising Hope, que busca mujeres que deseen ser mentoras de otras mujeres.

La micróloga y bióloga Juliana González Tobón, estudiante de doctorado de fitopatología en la universidad de Cornell, que trabaja con RNA mensajero habla del video popular que hizo sobre cómo funciona el intermedio RNA mensajero, parte de las preguntas frecuentes sobre las nuevas vacunas contra la COVID-19. González Tobón también es miembro del colectivo de Mujeres en las Ciencias Agrícolas.
