Evelyn Bo, from San Luis Petén, Guatemala, who has lived and worked in Kingston for only four months with an 18-month-old girl, has an American dream and a great talent for radio.

Tamara Gruszko in The Newcomer brought us a panel of translators and interpreters: Cristina Márquez, an Argentine translator, freelancer, specialist in medical and computer texts; Eduardo Hermosilla, Chilean, engineer and co-owner of Accu Rapid Translations in Poughkeepsie, specialist in technical translations; and Jorge Baldizon, of Puerto Rico, court interpreter for judicial district 3, including Ulster County, with an office in Kingston. Everyone explained how they got to those jobs, how much is needed and paid for their skills, and where those bilinguals interested in following this career paths can be trained.

We also had the third installment of The Diary of Anne Frank.
