2. A Facebook post by a teacher at Southern Berkshire Regional School District — Jim Berlstein, a science and technology teacher for 18 years at Mt. Everett High School — has started a furor — and has put the district in a turmoil. He asserts that the working conditions at the school are endangering education. And he’s referring to the new superintendent.
3.  Some merchants in Great Barrington are seeing an opportunity in the single-use plastic water bottle ban adopted — and reaffirmed — at a special town meeting in August:
