* Location…the mid Hudson Valley and southern Taconics in New York, and Litchfield County in Connecticut.
* Heat Index Values…95 to 100 due to temperatures in the upper 80s and dewpoints in the lower 70s.
* Timing…mid day into this evening.
* Impacts…The combination of heat and high humidity levels pose a significant risk for heat stress or other heat-related illnesses, particularly to those most vulnerable.

Remains of Gordon over Lower Mississippi Valley moving north. Florence – major hurricane moving west and should pass south of Bermuda and then pose a threat to East Coast next week. Disturbance off Africa likely to become Helene. Below – track of Gordon and Florence.
